About AntennaPro

Founded in 1980, AntennaPro (API) has evolved with the communications industry. The company was started by Ron Zents and provided service to the in-home entertainment business. API was installing Home Box Office via microwave antennas in homes, apartments, and condominiums and later became a cable television contractor.

As the industry grew so did delivery methods and AntennaPro adapted to the changes by embracing satellite communications and that is our primary area of service today. Satellite antennas were used to receive cable television signals and AntennaPro installed many private cable television systems. Soon corporate America discovered the benefits of disseminating information to remote offices via satellite and AntennaPro grew to be the largest satellite communication contractor in the Rocky Mountain Region.

In 1988 Sam Walton realized the benefits of transferring his data to and from his stores via satellite. Hughes Network Systems built the first major VSAT network for Walmart and the industry exploded from there. AntennaPro was there to participate in some of the first installations. AntennaPro has gone on to install networks for stock brokers like Merrill Lynch and Edward D. Jones, and for all the major automobile dealers like Ford, General Motors, and Chevrolet. In addition, we've provided installation services for hundreds of different retailers from Walgreens, Blockbuster, Texaco, and Checker Auto, to other users including hotels, service stations and government agencies.

As technologies improved new uses for communications have emerged. The Information Highway has gone past its terrestrial origins and now people can communicate through space. Internet access via a spacelink is both economical and efficient. AntennaPro has been trained by and is certified to install systems from industry leaders including Hughes Network Systems, Spacenet, Tachyon and Viasat.

Today our main business is satellite communications but AntennaPro also installs many other types of low voltage systems including Local Area Networks, Background Music Systems, Telephone Systems and Business Television Networks. AntennaPro is a full service low voltage communications contractor.
